BARF supplement for dogs for home-prepared food
When feeding BARF food or self-prepared food, the addition of a feed supplement is recommended to cover the dog's need for vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
When feeding meat, vegetables and carbohydrate sources alone, essential vitamins and trace elements such as selenium or vitamin E are often lacking. In addition, the native nutrient content of BARF or home-prepared food can vary greatly and is therefore never guaranteed.
montanus® nature Barfers-Bowl is the ideal supplement for BARF feeding and home-prepared food. The levels of vitamins, bulk and trace elements are based on current scientific recommendations. The addition of montanus® nature Barfers-Bowl to home-cooked food therefore ideally covers your dog's requirements.
Unlike natural barf supplements without additives, such as herbs or vegetable powders, we guarantee a consistent content of highly digestible vitamins and trace elements that you can rely on 100 %.

An extra supply of nutrients is also recommended during convalescence, pregnancy, lactation or for special performance requirements. Here montanus® nature Barfers-Bowl can be fed at short notice to support your dog.
montanus® nature Barfers-Bowl is suitable as a supplement to BARF food and self-prepared food as well as in the following special stress situations:

- The supply of bulk elements is not always sufficient with self-prepared food.
- Calcium, sodium, magnesium and phosphorus should therefore be added.
- Trace elements are not always sufficiently present in self-prepared food. The content is uncertain and varies greatly in natural components.
- Iron, zinc, copper, manganese, iodine and selenium should therefore always be added.
Feeding recommendation
Feed 1 g per kg body weight daily with low-mineral food.
We recommend long-term supplementary feeding when feeding food low in minerals and vitamins, e.g. home-prepared food and BARF food without added vitamins, bulk and trace elements.
For short-term supplementary feeding to complete food or for dogs in particularly stressful situations, we recommend 0.5 g per kg body weight per day and a feeding period of 2 - 4 weeks.
